Getting Started

Booking, telehealth, first visits, and what to expect.

No referral is needed. You can book directly by calling (631) 437-1010, filling out our contact form, or starting the online medical evaluation. Same-week appointments are typically available at all three of our locations.
Yes. Telehealth consultations are available for GLP-1 weight loss and peptide therapy, and follow-up visits. In-person visits are available at our three convenient locations: East Meadow, Farmingdale, and West Islip.
Your first visit includes a comprehensive health intake, symptom review, and bloodwork if needed. Your provider will review everything and design a personalized treatment plan. Most patients start treatment within one week.
We have three locations: East Meadow (2310 Hempstead Turnpike), Farmingdale (1037 Fulton St), and West Islip (125 Sunrise Highway). Hours: Monday–Friday 8am–8pm, Saturday–Sunday 8am–5pm. Phone: 631-478-4388.

Weight Loss / GLP-1

Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, results, and side effects.

Semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic class) is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound class) is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist that typically produces greater weight loss — 15–25% of body weight vs. 12–18%. Your provider will recommend the best option based on your health profile and goals.
Most patients lose 15–25% of their body weight over 6–12 months. For a 220 lb person, that is 33–55 lbs. The first month typically shows 5–8 lbs. Combining GLP-1 therapy with exercise and nutritional guidance can accelerate results.
The most common side effects are nausea, decreased appetite, and mild GI discomfort — these typically resolve within the first 2–4 weeks as your body adjusts. We start at lower doses and gradually increase to minimize side effects. Serious complications are rare when properly supervised.
GLP-1 medications work best when combined with a healthy lifestyle. While the medication significantly reduces appetite and cravings, patients who incorporate moderate exercise and mindful eating see faster results and better long-term maintenance.

Peptide Therapy

How peptides work, safety, administration, and what we offer.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that signal your body to perform specific functions — like releasing growth hormone, repairing tissue, boosting metabolism, or enhancing sleep. They work with your body's existing systems rather than replacing them.
The peptides we prescribe have established safety profiles and are compounded by licensed US pharmacies. All peptide therapy at NyxGen Medical is prescribed and monitored by our clinical team. Side effects are generally mild — injection site reactions or water retention — and resolve quickly.
Most peptides are subcutaneous injections using a tiny insulin needle. Some are available as troches (dissolving tablets), nasal sprays, or topical creams. Your provider will recommend the best route for your specific protocol. We provide all supplies and training.
Our peptide menu includes BPC-157 (healing), CJC-1295/Ipamorelin (growth hormone), NAD+ (cellular energy), AOD-9604 (fat metabolism), TB-500, GHK-Cu, PT-141, Thymosin Alpha-1, and more. We also offer custom stacks tailored to your goals. Our menu is constantly expanding — ask your provider about additional options.
Peptides prescribed by NyxGen Medical may be used for off-label applications (weight management, recovery, aesthetic, performance) that are not specifically FDA-approved for those uses. Compounded peptides from licensed pharmacies are not FDA-approved but are prepared to meet individual patient needs. All treatments are prescribed only after a comprehensive medical evaluation.

Payment & Insurance

Pricing, payment methods, and reimbursement.

NyxGen Medical is an out-of-pocket / direct care facility — we do not bill insurance directly. This means no insurance restrictions, no prior authorizations, and no delays. We provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Lab work is often covered by most insurance companies.
We accept all major credit/debit cards and cash. Financing maybe available. Most of our services qualify for HSA/FSA spending.
